My 2011 Fitness Resolutions

Everyone's talking about new year resolutions, so I don't want to be the odd one out!

1. Improve my tennis to the point that I'm beating more people than are beating me. My arch-rival in tennis is my cousin, who is better than me, and it would be fantastic to beat him regularly.

2. Step up my exercise levels so that I'm making more consistent gains in healthy weight ie muscle, while maintaining my 13% body fat. To reach 14 stone would be good (that's 196 lbs to the American audience!), by the end of 2011. Currently 13 stone 4lbs, so it's another 10lbs I'm aiming for (around 1lb per month).

The gaining weight part is easy, but for it to be healthy weight not fat, that's the real challenge.

3. Widen my range of foods, and styles of cooking, so that eating is a real pleasure rather than just a functional task.

    Love the competitive edge lol!

In 2011 I want to find a sport/active thing that I enjoy enough to do regularly!

    I'm back to my running training again - working back up to a 5k (setting the treadmill to 10 min/mile pace currently) by doing c25k programme.
The second aim once I've run a couple of the free parkruns, is to start training for a 10k towards the summer - and/or the Leeds Abbey Dash in November

I also intend this to be my last year at losing weight, would really love to be at my goal weight by the end of September - a difficult task but achievable I'm sure
2012 maintaining will be awesome!
