I am confused. I have this toning tape - Richard Simmons that used the stretch thingie - not sure what its called. I didn't realize the importance of toning - until I have been reading the fitness articles in spark. Well each time I do it - the next day I am sincerely hurting (the first time was over a month - the last time was like a week and this time is only the day after so far.) Each time a different area of my body too. What the heck am I doing wrong? I watch the video and do it exactly on form as they are doing it...

    Sounds like you were using a resistance band with too much resistance. Try going to Wal-Mart or Target and see if they have one with less resistance. Play with them a little bit and see what feels good. Or for the first few time do the tape without the resistance band and see if you are still sore. If that's the case it may just be that you aren't doing it quite the right way and it's throwing your body out of whack.

  You could be over stretching. An over stretch of the muscle will cause SEVERE pain for a few days.

    Ooo, I don't know, but maybe you should try something else (SP has videos) and see if it's any better. A little soreness means you're building muscle, but sincere pain is not good.
