Today I weighed in at 141.75 at our TOPS meeting. My goal weight is 142. TOPS means Take Off Pounds Sensibly. My BMI is 22.9.
When a TOPS member reaches goal, they can choose to register as a KOPS (which stands for Keep Off Pounds Sensibly). I'm going to wait a while to register. I'm still trying to build more muscle and I don't want to register until I'm comfortable with this new weight.
In TOPS, a person has a leeway. They can be 7 pounds below their goal weight or 3 pounds above. This allows them to keep their KOPS (maintenance) status.
So, I'm pleased with meeting this goal. I've lost 16.5 pounds since July 1st. I feel so much better. My hope is that I'll continue to have the opportunity to manage my lifestyle with the healthier behaviours that I've adopted in the past six months. I'd like to get stronger this year. Physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
:-)
