Once again, I lied about updating. Sorry about that. On to the update!

I finished my first semester of graduate school with 2 As and 1 A-, leaving me with a 3.91 GPA. Huzzah! I was a histrionic, neurotic wreck at the end of the semester, as I was struggling to finish a 20-page paper, 2 10-page papers, an essay test, and a PowerPoint presentation. Of course, I'd waited until the last minute (as is my wont), and was up until 4:15AM the day they were due. But I finished them!

Because I was struggling so much with getting my schoolwork done, so I didn't exercise. I think I only made it to the gym once in December, but between work, school, and schoolwork, I seriously had no free time at all. But that's done, it's a new year, and I'm hitting the gym at LEAST 3X a week. OR ELSE.

The holidays were pretty uneventful. I got some presents, and gave some. I was honestly more interested in giving. I wanted to see people's reactions to their gifts.

So I've been relaxing in the weeks between semesters. I've ordered all my textbooks on eBay. One has arrived already, but I'm still waiting on the others. But the estimated shipping thingy tells me that I should get them before classes resume, sot that's good. As is the fact that I saved about $90 over what I would have paid (used) at my school's bookstore.

Other than that, nothing really has happened. I had a boyfriend for awhile, but we split amicably because of the no free time problem. He understood and accepted my reasons, so we can stay friends and not be guilty/resentful about it.

Today was my birthday. I got my hair cut (super short pixie cut, a la Morena Baccarin), and like it a lot. My twin (MOLLOCALYPSE) gave me 3 bottles of Ramune (a Japanese soft drink), three packages of Yan Yans (biscuit sticks with icing for dipping) and a jar of wild hibiscus flowers in syrup (...yeah, I'm not really sure either. I'll figure something out). Then our dad took us out for a late lunch. We went to a Malaysian/pan-Asian restaurant. I got Seafood Egg Chow Fun (with a side of rice). It was really good, and then our server gave us each a complimentary bowl of coconut rice pudding. Delish!

So, yeah. High on calories for today (and, really, all week, but at least I'm being honest). I'm still struggling to get my eating back in range, but at least I'm active again. I'm restarting C25K, as my endurance took a nose-dive after my sedentary December.

...and I guess that's it. Till next time! Ciao!

(Oh! I also found the glasses frames I wanted that were sold out! There's a pair on eBay, so everyone keep your fingers crossed that I win them!!)

You DID find everybody really great gifts! Especially Krist, who was absolutely thrilled with the Hero Quest game . He says that he hopes you didn't spend an arm and a leg to get it. Apparently he'd been pricing them, and the ones he was able to find were very expensive.
