Well I guess if I was going to concentrate on the positive I'd note that it's been a year and an half since I was really active on Sparks and I'm now only about 4 lbs heavier then I was when I left. Not that there hasn't been some fluctuation (up and down) since then.
I'm not sure if I'm back or not. I am not exactly brimming with the sort of enthusiasm that normally meets News Years resolutions to get fit and eat better. Perhaps I'm just getting cynical in my old age. Or perhaps the fact that my daughter woke me up at 4 am because it struck her that 4 am was a great time to sing "If You're Happy and you Know It" has left me a little sleep deprived.
Perhaps I just don't want to set myself up to fail yet again.
All that said, I did get on the treadmill today. I did a 60 min walk while I watched the Doctor Who Christmas Special. The show was awesome so I didn't really mind walking longer then I planned. I start dance classes again next week. And I'm planning to renew my swimming pass with the City. I hate feeling so sluggish all the time so I'm hoping I can at least make some progress on that front.
