Ups and Downs

I learned something very valuable today. Over the Christmas holidays - specifically the 24th, the 25th and the 26th of December I really did indulge - with my own consent and realization about the possible consequences. Well when I did my weekly weigh-in - HOLY - I went up 5 lbs in 3 days. I was very disappointed - saddened really - because all of the weight I had lost since I joined Spark - was 5 lbs - in 5 weeks. After 2 days of being discouraged, to say the least - one friend said, I probably needed a good "poop" lol or bm and I would be ok. I thought about that and realized that over those 3 days I wasn't "normal" and after 2 days of being back on track - I was. My hubby said - now lets look at the scale. Sure enuf - I was down 3 lbs. WOW. So armed with this 2lb gain - I really wasn't that sad nemore - figuring that a 2 lb consequence I could accept.
Even before this tho - for the first time - because of Spark - I got back on track right away and was mentally convincing myself that this was a good lesson to learn from - that you can destroy weeks of work in a very short time - SO BE MORE CAREFUL in the future.
Well over New Years - My hubby and I turned on the music and literally danced the evening away and brought the New Year in with dancing.
Today was my weekly weigh-in. WHOOOOOOOOPEEEE I was down 3 more lbs. So the 5 lb gain was gone and wooohoo I was able to lose an extra lb.
I learned to not take the numbers so seriously - or the setbacks - just get back on track and let "sweatin" take care of sweatin the small stuff. He He
