Our Christmas Vacation, and Happy New Year, My Friends!

Tuesday, January 04, 2011

My husband and I are back from our "Christmas Holiday". We were so blessed to be able to spend the holidays with our dearest friends, YATMAMA & CAPTAINCOOKIE, and their family! We had such an extremely wonderful time! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we shared such a happy, peaceful, fun, relaxing, BLESSED time!

We enjoyed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. And, we got to go to Church with them on Sunday! They treated us to a wonderful lunch at a Chinese restaurant. We were thrilled to go to New Orleans one evening and visit an Irish Pub, where Bill got up and sang with the band! Every day was absolutely fantastic!

And let me tell you...Bill so deserves the title of CAPTAIN COOKIE! Can he ever COOK! My husband was talking to some of our tenants yesterday after we got back, telling them about the awesome food we had while we were gone. Then, he turned towards me, and with his "innocent choir boy" face, smiled ever so sweetly, and announced that from now on, he expects gourmet meals every time I cook! LOL

We treasured every moment we spent with them, and let me tell you, it was really difficult to have to say goodbye.

My friends, let me tell you, if you have the chance to get away from your every day routine, TAKE THAT OPPORTUNITY! We came back rested and renewed. And ready...ready to go back!

A very special thank you to Missy and Bill, and their family. And thank all of you for taking the time to read my blog!

I hope your Christmas was a blessed and wonderful one, and I pray the New Year will be one of abundant blessings for you and your families!

Now.....about those gourmet recipes... emoticon

Missy and Bill certainly are special people, aren't they? So happy for you that you were able to visit them. Now I wonder how I can get Bill to send me some of his home cooking. Hmmm. Dry ice maybe? -- Lou

As I commented to Missy, cooking can be dangerous (to your figure) emoticon

Quite often the best food is the most down to earth food. You don't need fancy sauces and labor intensive recipes.
Glad to read that you all had such a good time.

I agree, get out of your routine and take that opportunity to visit somewhere else.

I would have tried to sing with Bill if I had been there... but that's another story.
