A new beginning.

Monday, January 03, 2011

Once again, here we are at the beginning of a new year, and the beginning of a new challenge in our lives.
A little slip up and on comes a few pounds. But not to worry, easily shed. Just need to get it together with the calories in and calories out. It is a simple enough equation. Why is it not so simple to follow. It must be all the darn hollidays. And not just the Christmas ones. It seems we fall off the program so easily when it comes to hollidays of any kind.
So, onward and upward, as they say. Back to basics. Exercise daily and reduce calories, meaning all the empty foods, of course.

YOU WOULD THINK THAT IF WE WORKED ON A ROUTINE HARD ENOUGH THAT NO HOLIDAY WOULD MATTER, THAT IS PART OF THE EQUATION, MAKING SURE THAT HOLIDAYS DON'T MATTER AND WE DONT' FALL OFF THE WAGON SO TO SPEAK. THAT MAY TAKE TIME TO GET IT RIGHT, I KNOW IT WILL FOR ME. WE CAN DO THIS THOUGH, THAT IS THE BEST PART ABOUT IT, WE CAN DO SOMETHING !!!! emoticon

There's something very uplifting about a new beginning, isn't there Merilyn. I'm just crawling out of a funk, as you read on my blog a couple days ago. It's taken a lot of self-examination to find out in my mind what the obstacles were. Just knowing that the days are getting longer, even by seconds at this point, and the nights shorter makes me feel good.

Back to basics.... good wishes to you! emoticon emoticon

A hearty cheer for the ideas in this blog, Merilyn. You can write things so positively and put a complex idea across so succintly.
I'm in the process of a new beginning and I'm so nervous that I will work quietly for a couple of weeks before posting on Sparks. I have had too many false starts. But I'm hanging in have managed to lose 8 pounds this fall.
Keep up yur great work. emoticon
