2011 so far

Yesterday was surprisingly terrible for me. I sat around all day in my pajamas and watched TV and netflix shows. It wasn't the good type of lounging either. It wasn't relaxing, it was depressing, and somehow I didn't manage to snap myself out of it. Not quite sure how that happened, especially on New Year's Day, but I'm happy to report today was 100x better. I got up at 9 (was shooting for 8), got a pep-talk over the phone from my mom, went to the gym, ate brunch, showered, and headed to Green Bay for some shopping w/ Mom before she had to fly back to TX (I'm in WI). I was buying some items to help with weight loss. I never make weight loss my official New Year's Resolution because for me, it's always a resolution, but in this case I decided to start fresh with a Wii dance workout game, "The Genius of Flexibility" by Bob Cooley, and a Ninja food prep machine for making salsa, big brain shakes, and other things I don't want to chop up manually. Additionally I learned about progesterone treatment for PCOS and I'm looking forward to talking to my doctor about it this week. My friends are peer pressuring me into doing the Warrior Dash in September. It sounds amazingly fun, but I'm skeptical of my ability to drop enough weight to complete it before September. Getting off my bc pills and starting a progesterone treatment might be just what I need to get a little renewed hope in this weight battle. Good luck to all in the new year!

We can do it Lauren! Like I said in my email...the Warrior Dash is a good incentive to work towards our goal. AND, no matter what we'll stick together, so no one is left behind. Even if we don't get to the weight we want just exercising will help us get through the race. We'll be stronger and healthier. Look at the people on Biggest Loser and what they can accomplish even when they still have all that weight to lose. We just need to stay positive and not procrastinate. It would be great to feel like we're prepared and confident in finishing.
