Okay, so I am gonna try again

Saturday, January 20, 2007

After the Christmas break and my illnesses were (mostly) gone, my new DVD's came. I've now got 12 new exercise DVD's. I am telling myself that they are not too much money, they are birthday presents to me and I am worth it. I have tried the Prevention Walk Yourself Fit (I walked/other stuff 1 mile in 20 minutes with intervals), Prevention Personal Training (you get to arrange workouts based on what body part, how intense, etc) and the Prevention 3-2-1 (3minutes of cardio, 2 of strength, 1 of abs for up to 6 different 6 minute sections)
They are all very Good, I would definitely recommend them.
HOWEVER, I have not been sticking to my daily exercise. I keep being extra tired in the morning when alarm goes off at 6, so I reset for 7-7:15, telling myself that I'd workout AFTER I get kids on bus, but OF COURSE, that NEVER happens. So, not so much been done lately and now I can't do any yoga or any kickboxing like thing for the next 5-7 days (ya know why) so maybe I'll try the strentgh traiing DVD by Minna Lessig. It sounds so cool, there are over 225 different 1 minute exercises/segments/reps and you just pick how long you want to work out and which body section. They say that you could work out for 365 days and never get the same workout.

Thats good news about getting the DVDs in... a lot of them sound really good!

As for as AF being here, I find that even walking makes me feel less achy and crampy -- any movement (even slow walking) on days you don't feel like doing a full workout, puts us in the habit of keeping active. I have exercised at the gym for around 8 of the last 10 days -- and I am amazed how good I feel when I am on that treadmill or elliptical. I also have some Sansone Walk Away the Pounds DVDs I plan on using when I am bored instead of hanging around watching t.v. and being a couch potato. Good luck with the DVDs!
