Wow it's 2011, I can't believe it. Time flies when you are having fun!
I've been feeling a bit under the weather on and off for a little while now. Unfortunately in October, November and December I have put in a less than stellar effort on my workouts. I am not going to bore you with my excuses there are many and they are just that - excuses. I was so excited in September to finally be out of the 180's. With limited workouts and cravings around the holidays I've crept back up and have been fluctuating between 182-185.
However, it's a new year! The attitude is infectious!! I gotta jump in and not look back.
I love goals and decided it's time to knock myself out of this rut. A sore throat is no reason to sit on the couch and stare at the tv!!!
Workout: Cardio 5x a week (elliptical, treadmill, jm shred, jm bfbm, bob harper inside out method)
Strength 2-3x a week
Yoga 4-5x a week
Weight: Get out of the 180's AGAIN!
Work: Be more patient
TRACK MY NUTRITION DAILY, DAILY, DAILY (I extremely dislike this, however I know it keeps me successful)
Same as January but increase my intensity! I should be in a consistent routine by the time February rolls around and no excuses for ho hum workouts!
Weight: Consistent weekly loss of 1-2lbs.
Work: Teach someone something everyday. Share my knowledge and show why I am the lead technologist there.
Nutrition: Eat more Veggies and Protein. If I am working the way I should be, I will need the protein. WATER, WATER, WATER!!!!
That is what I have so far. I still have some tweaking to do. It's all a learning experience. I want to start working in training for a 5k too. I don't like jumping too far ahead on these short term goals because I do end up making some changes so that I stay consistent.
Consistency is the long term goal, it is what makes the difference so I see a difference!!!
I have been doing a lot of soul searching lately. I want to live a better life, be a better person and I know feeling good and learning to love myself is the first start. Being more involved on spark is helping me work towards that goal. Whether it's being inspired by ANEWAMANDA and her amazing workouts, food and water consumption, FIT-WHIT and her conflicting feelings(I have the same ones) or her excitement about the new year and finally being healthy, or YOOVIE and all of her hilarious blogs and no holds barred kick a** attitude. All of these people inspire me physically and mentally and give me the kick in the pants that I almost always need. I hope to one day give back in the same way they all do.
I have had a great time reading all of the 2011 goal blogs. Everyone is an inspiration whether they are just getting started or are in their maintenance phase.
So here's to a Happy, and Healthy Spark New Year everyone!
