It's a new year. 2011. It's brand new and everything that will happen this year is ahead of me. I'm happy to say goodbye to the old me from 2010. Last New Years I joked that 2010 would be "size 20 to 10 in 2010" haha. Too bad I didn't start till October on that! BUT at least I started.
In October of 2010 we celebrated our first anniversary on 10/10/10. I weighed 248 lbs and there was no way i was going to see 250. I refused. I actually decided to do something about it. Sitting here, Jan. 1st, 2011, I can say I'm proud of my efforts thus far. I'm 20 lbs lighter than October. I have a goal of reaching 160lbs and I'm 68 lbs away from that goal. When I started, 88 lbs sounded more like 888. It's slowly ticking away though. I feel better physically and mentally. I have come to the conclusion that I CAN do this. God is my strength. He wants me at my best and I'm on the road to figuring out what MY BEST is.
I printed out the January Spark People 31 Days to Unbreakable Resolutions yesterday. Today is day one. "Write down your goals. You are more likely to achieve them if you take the time to write them down."
1. go to solid whenever it's offered
2. drink 2 L of water a day
3. pray and read my bible every day
4. be proud of myself more - notice, enjoy & appreciate the changes
5. run an entire mile
6. keep up with my food log
7. continue my effort to eat within my caloric range
8. give back more - community/family/love
I think my goals are realistic but still something I have to make an effort to achieve.
Here is to 2011 and the first round of goals. My plan is to check these off and start new ones. Keep moving forward so life doesn't pass me by.
