You are doing TERRIFIC! I started running just a few days after you... I think it was June 5th. Since then, I have run three 5Ks, one 10K, and one Half Marathon. And, I'm loving it! I also now have two Sprint Triathlons and another Half Marathon coming up in the next 8 weeks. Isn't it wonderful to train and race and have so much fun?!?

Well done!!! Running intrigues me a bit. I've never been a runner & since I tore my achilles in the mid 90's, the idea of running on uneven surfaces just scares me. I can do a treadmill workout in the gym~no surprises, even, consistent surface & things to hold on to if I misstep & think I'm going to go down. So instead of running, I have done a Century Bike Ride (100miles) & an Olympic distance triathlon (walked the 10k) & the local Turkey Trot 10k (walked & volunteered to be the 'sweep' at the same time).
In 2011, I have applied to mentor walkers of a half marathon (May 1) which would mean that I train with & do the event with the walkers and I am also doing a 545 mile bike ride for charity (June). I'll be looking at other schedules to see what other events interest me. There's a really interesting Adventure Challenge which involves kayaking, hiking & trail riding on a mountain bike~looks like fun & a great way to cross train.

Keep up the great work & keep enjoying it. All of your pictures suggest you're having a good time. So great to find something like this that you really like doing. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Wow great Vblog, I'm going from zero to full Marathon in 2011.
So this Vblog was just the thing. Just started my 17 week training program for Beginning Marathoner. First week 21 miles of running, (its all on treadmill right now) too cold for me out side. I hope we cross paths in the next year.

emoticon on 2010 and even more success for 2011!!
