End of the year or just another day

In some ways today is just another Friday at the end of December in the middle of winter. However, we have invested it with great power. We make it a watershed... one year ends, another begins. We feel as if we have been given a clean slate and we vow to start all over again.
Instead, what if we just continued with what we are doing that is keeping us healthy and discontinue that which interferes with good health. Just keep drinking the water, tracking the nutrition and fitness. Continued to eat 1/2 of what a restaurant puts on our plate, have one bite of chocolate instead of two full bars. Changed up our exercise routines to keep us interested and enthusiastic.

    And for me, I am nearly 1/2 way through the first day of the New Year. Apart from a "special breakfast" for hubby and I, things are continuing - including the weighing of food and using the Nutrition Tracker. It would be a pity if we allowed this special time to "cause" us to slip backward in our healthy habits!

    Great blog. Your suggestion is exactly what I am going to do. I will re-evaulate my goals and make sure they are working and see if I need to do something different. Otherwise, tomorrow is just Saturday!
