    @ordinarynme - i totally thought i was going to feel like a goofball at first too. i knew NOTHING about the gym or the machines or the "proper protocol", but I quickly found out that no one was paying any attention to me. I could be panting through my intervals, or barely making it on the bike and not one person would be looking at me.

    If you do join, try going at less busy times. I've been really loving the super early mornings, but if I have the time, going around 10am is nice because most everyone has gone to work.

    Anyway, you can do it! start slow and then build it up. The first week HURTS but after you make it through that, it feels super good. GOOD LUCK!

    You had me at freshening your ipod!
    I am really weighing my options. There is a great deal at the local gym I was thinking of joining that expires Dec 31st.

    I don't want to feel like a goof not knowing how to work the machines and such... what do you recommend?
