I love SP!

I blogged before about winning the fitbook at Stroller Strides last week and how excited I was about it. I started it on Monday and everything went well until the evening. I ended up BLOWING my "diet" for the entire day by overeating and eating bad stuff. I eat bad stuff anyway, but i REALLY ate bad Monday because I was trying to restrict myself and do a major overhaul on my nutrition. It was good food and lots of veggies but let me tell ya...I need gradual. I couldn't handle it and it blew up in my face.

I am throwing the book away and sticking to SP!!! Every week I do something new to make my diet healthier but I am not pushing myself so much that I just quit cold turkey eating things I love, which I probably will never do. I should have realized that any time I do a major overhaul of my diet and fitness and do too much all at once, I quit. Its like too much of a shock and not enough of a lifestyle change that is more integrated like second nature.

Plus its so much easier to keep track with the iphone app :D

    Yay for SP! Lifestyle change is such a mental workout, huh? Sometimes we totally blow this thing, but hopefully it's momentarily, & I think SP helps us keep accountable & get back on track. Good luck - keep sparking - & have a very merry Christmas!
