Time to rethink this mess!

Monday, December 20, 2010

I'm not happy with myself!! Not at all. I've gotten off track. Horribly!
What changed? Well, the doctor put me on medicine for my roseacea that required me to eat before taking it. That was an excuse to eat and it couldn't be a milk product or yogurt. That sounds like an exuse for something I don't need, like refined sugar/carbs.
My knee started bothering me, so I stopped using my stepper machine and that wasn't good.
Now I have to figure out how to fight against these evils and triumph over the unhealthy fat blobs which are dragging on me like the chains on Scrooges old friend Marley.

Thank you for the great ideas! I need it! Big time! Get back to Sparking is one of my first good decisions. I recently got the book and have been munching away on a little bit at a time to help my focus. I'm going to get a few things done this morning before the day gets to a full tilt of activities. The support of this positive Spark community is extremely valuable to me. Thank you~

How about eating some turkey on some whole grain bread? A little mustard or light mayo as a condiment. Perhaps a slice of avacado? Healthy all the way around. Do you have a rec center or YMCA near by that has a pool? How about water aerobics or swimming for exercise and no strain on the knee? Just a few suggestions. I'm sure if you put your mind to it you can rethink and retool. Use Spark and the entire internet as a resource. Google exercises for those with sore knees. Spark has a chair exercise team that I am aware of. And there is diet beyond dairy! There is soy milk, almond milk (I drink it and so does my picky husband), cocnut milk, rice dream, and tons of non-dairy alternatives. How about a banana or peanut butter on toast? The possibilities are POSITIVELY endless! emoticon Judi, Positive Mental Health team leader

Sounds like some brains storming is required. And I bet you can come up with some options for your challenges. This require that you take time for yourself and figure this out. You can do this. Take it one step at a time one day at a time.
