Today was Christmas shopping with the Grand kids for their parents. We have done this with the kids since they were very young. Every year we take them out to buy something for their parents.

Today I started by joining them at Kierra’s hockey game. While we were talking before the game. Camden, my 9 year old grand son said that he was going to do a 5 km with his dad. Aaron my son, confirmed that he and Cam had decided to join Curt and me in the Ottawa 5 km race in may. There will be three generations of McCaffreys running in the 5km event. (Popie, Aaron (my son), Cam and Curt (my grand sons). Three out of four of us will make personal bests. Popie, Aaron and Cam have not run 5 km events.

Curt and I are already registered to do the half the next day. So we will treat the 5km as a warm up run. I expect the pace will be fairly slow, as we plan to run together as a group start to finish.

I did not really think Aaron would join us, but not only is he joining us, but his youngest son will be coming along as well.

This makes Popie’s heart very happy.
