"The weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful . . ." And so the popular song goes. We've been having a difficult time keeping our heat pumps working. My father & I were commenting on how nice it would be to have a wood stove!
Being cold seems to bring my desire to exercise to a screeching halt! I'd rather sit under a warm blanket. I suspect I'm not the only on.

When I was a kid, the cold didn't stop me. We lived in Wisconsin then, across the street from a small park. The park employees would turn the baseball diamond into a skating rink. I spent every moment I could on that rink or in the little warming house thawing out so I could return to skating.
Since I live in Georgia now, ice skating isn't readily available. I think there's a indoor ice ring in Greenville, SC, but that's over an hour away from us. I did see a little ice forming on the lake last night, a rare sight.
It's going to take a bit of imagination & perseverance to get me out from under the covers and back to exercising!
