Got My Labs Back

Thursday, December 16, 2010

This week is just not going my way.

I had to get my thyroid labs and hemoglobin A1C done and they didn't come back good at all.

In Sept, my TSH was 2.880 and I have bottomed out to 0.084. Not good.

Hemoglobin came back 5.9, high/boardline, but my TSH could be affecting that as well.

Bleck, well it at least explains why I have been feeling kinda crappy and moody. Plus it explains the weight gain (well, some of it anyway!) Now,I'm just waiting til my endocrinlogist calls for a dose change.

This week has been same old, same old. I just want get back on track. Gotta get my butt to the gym.

Hope you are all doing well! Thanks for reading and the support!

*Jen

I am totally with ya on the misery of not having your thyroid meds balanced out! At this stage, I consider myself a pretty good "amateur endocrinologist" ;-)
send me a msg if you want to correspond...

Hang in there,
Val

So Jen, what do the labs mean at the end of the day? What can you do? I hope you're feeling better soon!

Well, it's good you got the results, even if they aren't great, because at least then you can work on fixing it! :-)

Sending lots of good thoughts your way!

Well, the not so great lab results at least explains things! I guess it's better than them coming back all normal and then still having to figure out why you're not feeling your best. Hopefully the dose adjustment will do wonders for you!
