What does it mean when I see the link at the bottom of most articles shows the " sparkpoints earned" already there? Maybe it means I am well read. The trivia questions are starting to look very familiar, but I sure don't get more than 75% right. What does that tell me? I read a lot, but retention is not too good anymore? Maybe it means I am going through the motions.
Maybe it means I am building consistency. Granted its a lot slower than I would like, but I still come back every day. I do not always sign in or post, or track, but I do come everyday. It is my habit, my routine, like brushing my teeth or making a pot of coffee. Can't imagine my day without Sparkpeople. I love when I find something here that I never noticed before. Earlier this week I noticed a meal builder tool. Hey, that thing is wonderfull! I love that the exchanges are right there. I only played with it the one time, but really liked it and will use it more to plan out weekly menus.
I cleaned my office space last weekend and found a thin binder with page protectors. I also found some index cards. Amazing the things we find when we clean house. I think I will build several meals and write them out on the cards and shuffle the deck each week I think I can fit 3 cards in a page for breakfast-lunch and dinner. I already put the page protectors in the binder and have the cards on top. I need to schedule one hour on Saturday to build meals and see how far I can get in an hour. I will do this every Saturday until I have at least 10 days of meals on cards. I will keep each stack separate so I can easily pick one card for each meal. It will be like my own planner, created with my favorite food combos.
I have often wished for this kind of program, where the computer would see what kinds of things I tend to switch out from my favorites list so I would not have to keep changing out the items I would prefer to avoid. I hope I can find this tool again on Saturday.
