As I sit here, tshirt with holes, ripped jeans, I am thankful for my little family, even though sometimes they can be compared to a caffeine headache. But that is to be expected when you have multiple little ones right?
My children are the greatest gift that God has given to me, and he has blessed me with a wonderful fiance to be there for all of us.
My son, Daegan, he just turned 4 on November 8th. That day I took him and his sister out to McDonalds, then that followed by going to Walmart so that I could have him pick out his birthday present. I have no idea what boys are into at what ages, at least I know when they hit a certain point, you can't go wrong with a gaming console, but until he hits that point, It looks like letting him pick out his gift is the way to go. At least with Christmas, we have all these toys r us, target, and countless other magazines that we get with toys so I can tell Daegan he should pick something out. Anyways later that night It was on to grandma and grandpas for dinner, cake, and presents.
Here comes a couple weeks later and it is Skylars turn for her 3rd Birthday. She'd already picked out her present with Daegan, so we didn't have to go find her anything, it just had to be wrapped. Later that night, back over to grandma and grandpas for dinner, cake, and presents.
I've felt kind of guilty for the fact that I am not doing birthday parties this year for the kids, and in fact I believe that I'll be waiting til the kids are in school before I do another party. The past 3 years every time I have planned a party they have been a huge flop. I would have 15 people say yeah we are coming and then no one would show to the party. I have too many parties to do, to be wasting my time and money on no one showing except grandma and grandpa...and I don't think they want half a dozen goody bags.
Now we have the holidays among us, I don't know what is more stressful, coming up with what to get everyone for Christmas, or getting everything planned for a wedding....as of right now all the wedding plans seem to be coming in smoothly. That probably has something to do with my nightly ritual of listening to Hawthorne Heights and Bayside while I do all of my planning....oh and don't forget the coffee, and tortilla chips with sour cream...that is a must.
Sure it doesn't sound like I am on a diet, but really I have been, Last time I weighed myself I had lost 10 lbs, but since then, my children destroyed my scale, so I haven't been able to get anywhere to weigh myself. Might be a good thing with all the seasonal goodies, who knows I might get stuck making weightloss my new years resolution.
My younger girls Claire and Aisha, wont be celebrating their birthdays until February 8th and March 1st...I had to have a break, I couldn't have ALL my children's birthdays in November.
