I had my first major backslide last night. I had a long challenging day bringing in our goldfish and setting them up in their winter home, an aquarium in the house. Fishing on a rainy day in December was a challenge. We had to use a cattle trough deicer to melt the ice. Thankfully it was a warm rainy day...today it's back in the 20's.
Once the fish were happily settled into their new home, we were to tired to cook the meal we planned. So we had leftovers and a glass of wine in front of the aquarium. The rest of the evening turned into a snack fest. I'm back with my program today, but what did I learn?
I'm vulnerable when I'm tired, when I'm busy and when I'm stressed. I need a plan and then maybe a back up plan! And sometimes, when I'm tired and don't have a plan, I probably shouldn't have a glass of wine. I think of the wise saying that failing to plan is planning to fail! I plan on doing better the next time!
