Borrowed from Ginger1of16's blog entry..."Should you re-set your weight ticker? I did..."

Thursday, December 09, 2010

I had to do this Ging...after all, this is my story, & I found the EXACT 8 POUNDS!!! Today I re-set MY weight ticker!!

"Over the past few months, my weight started to inch up...not by pounds, but by ounces. I kept telling myself it was no big deal, I would soon be back to my recorded weight and continue as usual.

Numbers can play with your head. All of a sudden I had 8 more pounds to drop before I could even budge from my posted weight. It was overwhelming and I felt like I was trying to swim upstream.

So I ate a big piece of humble pie (no calorie pie), bit the bullet (again no calories), and made the decision to JUST DO IT!"

Blessings to my 1st best friend for finding words for my feelings!!

I posted my weight gain earlier this week. I got sick in October and stayed sick for 3 weeks. That was all it took to make a new habit of eating whatever made me feel good and not exercising much. I had gained 5 pounds before I knew it.

Now, I'm back at it with determination and grit. I'm not gonna totally backslide and that's all there is to it!!

    We can do it!

    Be blessed!

I am sure the best of us have been in your same boat. I know I was a few months ago and I finally took the plunge and changed my ticker to the right figure also. Keep up the good work!

Eep I'm finding myself in a similar situation! I'm about five pounds above my last weigh-in, which was only a few weeks ago! I thought I'd shed it fast but if it sticks around much longer, I'm going to have to bump it back so I can have a more accurate picture of where I'm at.
