Praise the Lord anyway!!

Thursday, December 09, 2010

It was just one of those days. Yesterday I got in my car to go to bible study and it was slow to start. No problem, it's done that before. After bible study I went about running my errands( we live 9 miles from town, so I need to combine trips). I didn't want to be gone too long because our newest little dog was in her crate( we just brought her home on Monday). Soooo turning out of the Walgreen's parking lot, my car died. Praise the Lord I was on a back street with plenty of room to coast off the road. Called hubby, no luck. Called AAA and about an hour later I was at the garage. Got a loaner car, drove home. Then, when I went to get little Pixie, instead of seeing a dog in the crate, I see a crate FULL of down. She wasn't supposed to be a chewer, so I gave her an old pillow. If you have ever had to clean up an exploded down pillow, you know how my day went. then I spilled 2 pounds of raw peanuts in the freezer getting dinner.
But I'm still praising God for the day. I got home safely, Pixie didn't have any ill effects from the down, I picked up most of the peanuts, and Pixie is the sweetest little dog.Here is her picture

    That is so funny about Pixie! Today I locked my keys in my car at work and couldn't do what I needed and kept calling and no one could bring me my other keys for awhile. I am glad you were rescued from being stranded. PTL =) Pixie is adorable and I'll bet she is fun to have around too!

    Can you imagine what your day would have been like not praising HIM? He is so worthy, even during our spills and frustrations! Good for you!

  The pillow kept Pixie busy so she didn't miss you too much when you were gone. Pixie looks like she is ready for Christmas.

    Oh, Pam, BLESS your sweet heart! And what a wonderful testimony of *still* praising the LORD through it all! Thank you! I needed to read about your attitude in the midst of challenge! Wish I had handled my 'challenges' so gracefully today! I was more like the exploding pillow! ha! Sometimes when so many things are going on at once, I wonder at God's choice in giving me children in my old age! emoticon But He perfectly orchestrates and I am glad He does not despise those who fall. {{{{hugs, dear sister and NEIGHBOR!}}}}

    She looks so sweet! Besides the car problems, spilled peanuts and no ill effects from Pixie's chewing episode, seems like all is well and God is in control! PTL!! {{{hugs}}}
