Potty training

Wednesday, December 08, 2010

SO yesterday I tried potty training bc I am trying to be consistent bc consistency is the key.

I put my ODD on the potty for up to three hrs. and she sat their doing nothing,I GAVE HER WATER AND JUICE. SO THEN I REMOVE HER AND THAT IS WHEN SHE DECIDED TO POOP WHAT CAN I DO DIFFERENTLY?

She only sat there bc I had her in front of the t.v. with all her toys surrounding her other than she would be so distracted form my 13 mth old. She is 2 and I think its time bc she is able to communicate but its just after the fact...after she has already went then she will say poopy.

I will try your recommendation. The dr says not to pressure her and that was at 18 mths when I first tried potty training now that she is older and understands more I think she should be able to do it. Also as soon as my YDD sees her sister doing it I think she would want to do it too on the potty. Or so I hope....wish me luck. emoticon

omg, my son is 22 months and I have come to the decision that it is time to get potty trained because all day today he kept taking his diaper off... But seriously there is no way I could get him to sit on the potty for more than maybe 5 to 10 minutes. I think that would kind of make things go back wards with my son, because he would than just revolt against me.

emoticon I didn't try to potty train my children until they were at least 2. I got the book TOILET TRAINING IN LESS THAN A DAY.
