Week 1: Start... stop. Start again?!

Tuesday, December 07, 2010

I walked back to back for 3 days. No, I don't deserve any congratulations. It's pathetic that I need to post about my first week back in action when all I accomplished was walking 6 miles. People do that every day just coming and going to work. It's sad.

You know it's even worse when you're using exercise as a way of procrastinating. It turns out that the second I dealt with my student loan issue, I immediately didn't feel the urgency to exercise anymore. As a result, so began the excuses not to exercise.

My 4th day I had a social engagement and decided to take a day off. I was on my way to using that same excuse on the 5th day when I ended up slamming my little toe into some absurd object. It literally shook the core of my bone to the point where I couldn't walk for a day. The next day I was barely able to put on a shoe and the third day I was still feeling the shock absorption.

I decided to post some self deprecation in order to motivate me to not be so pathetic. Feel free to let me know how lame I am or share one of your pitiful excuse stories for a laugh. emoticon

My plans for week 2, manage walking 4 days without injuring myself. Luckily my little toe is mostly healed, so that shouldn't be an excuse either.
