Forge Ahead

The results aren't always good. Sometimes the results are the opposite of what we want. The entire world seems to be against any effort we make to reach our goals some days, but we can not give in. Stumble, falter, and go off course if you have to, but remember where you are headed. Don't lose sight of why you started this journey. Forge ahead.

My scale is up a few pounds today. I'm going hiking even though my shoes are worn thin and my blisters are stinging. I crave a big cheesy bacon covered pile of carbohydrates. I have a dozen other reasons why I'd like to quit trying; to back down and resign, but I won't let them win.

Once I lost a lot of weight and a friend said, "Yeah, but your just gonna put it back on". He was right. I did put it back on, and more. Well, guess what else is true? I'm going to take it all off again. I'm going to resist the bad cravings. I'm going to push my body. I am going to move further ahead than I thought possible when I began.

    I say 'bah' to the cravings (85% of the time LOL)! Sounds like the lbs might simply be your body healing itself. Yes, keep forging ahead, but not so much that you don't allow yourself to recover as well. Find your balance. It's there.
