Short little video from Saturday's Jingle Bell 5k.
So the little story for this clip- whenever I do any races my goal is to get behind someone a little faster then me and try to pass them by the end of the race. This particular race it was the guy in the yellow jacket, I was behind him for about 2.75 miles. This clip is about a quarter mile from the finish line, and Bryn just happened to take a video of the moment I passed him :)
This was a super fun race- everyone was given little bells to wear so there was a lot of jingling going on. Santa was there giving the kids stockings full of treats and there was a costume contest- the best of which (in my opinion) was the trio that came as the Grinch, his dog, and Cindy Lu Hoo.
The path was icy so that made for a bit of a sketchy run, but my (unofficial) finishing time was about 28:30, which is awesome, so this yellow jacket guy did a good job of keeping me moving.
I placed in my division in my last two runs- not sure if I did in this one. The race was at 9:00 in the morning and placement awards weren't till after the winter fest at 4:30 in the afternoon... we thought we'd make it back after going to the movies, but Harry Potter was a bit longer then we thought it would be. So I guess I'll find out once official times are posted online later this week.
Here's my pre-race pose :)
Anyways, I've had TONS going on lately and still haven't had much time on the computer but hopefully I'll have a long ol' blog coming soon.
