Well, I'm on my 3rd day of a low carb diet and feel great! I do need to find some more snack things as I feel hungry more often. But I'm not "craving" the sweets like I was the 1st day. I don't know if it's mental or not, but I swear my stomach has already gone down. They say a low carb diet allows you to lose a lot of water weight at first and I am sure that is what it is. But my stomach is a little flatter already. I am also down almost 5 pounds already. I know this won't last, but it's great for motivation in the beginning!
We are going to a Christmas Village/Light show tonight and I know there will be goodies there. I am going to allow myself to have a treat. I feel that in the past, I wouldn't allow myself to have anything "not" on the diet and that backfired. It's all in moderation. So I will allow myself a treat, but not go overboard. I am already planning for it and watching my calories for the beginning of the day. We'll see if it will have an affect on my body.
My mom always said she was allergic to carbs because she would puff up and retain so much water. I now realize that I am the same way. And it's amazing what just cutting the carbs for a couple of days will do for me. I am looking forward to seeing what my body will do with the low carb change in the weeks to come.
