I've been on Sparkpeople for 5 years now and cannot seem to dedicate myself the cause of getting back to a healthy weight. My oldest son recently left for boot camp and kindly left me his new bike to use while he is gone. He told me he wants me to be on my way back to a healthy weight when he graduates in late February. I plan to keep that promise to him and hopefully start losing some of this excess weight. I believe if I set a low goal of just 1 pound a week and start eating better, as well as riding his bike for 30 minutes a few days a week, I will start to see that I'm actually losing more than 1 pound a week.
