So, I kept hearing the thing about the amount of water you drink should be half your body weight in oz, which for me at my weight is a lot of oz! I wanted to see if it was possible and my curiosity led to me actually measuring how much water fits in my metal water bottle. So I figured out that if I drink 6 of my bottles that would be 18 cups of water which is about the 150 oz I should be drinking.
So far it has not been as hard as I thought it would be! I think it is actually helping me to feel fuller longer in between my small meals. It may be a placebo thing but I also feel healthier already too. I was already drinking quite a bit of water but now I'm making a conscious effort to drink more of it throughout the day.
The best part of my water adventure is that I have found that there is only one water fountain at my college that I really like because a lot of them have really warm water or it tastes rusty, which sounds like it would be a bad thing. The positive side is that every time I need to refill my bottle I need to take a break from my studies and take a little walk to get the 'good' water! Or during a break in class when everyone else is running out for a smoke I am making a dash to another building to get my water! It kind of seems silly but at least I'm getting in a bit more walking
