4 pounds from Goal and having a good "challenge".

I'm almost a year away from the beginning of my current AND PERMANENT lifestyle! I cannot get over how I look and when I run into people I haven't seen in a while, I hear the same thing.
This kind of change is good because I know it will #1 improve my health, #2 make me feel good about myself. I'm sure there are other reasons but those two spring to the top.
And thank you to my SP "village". I couldn't have done it without the site and the friends I've gained and met.
Nothing fits. I have donated (to charities) a lot of clothes and have several that will go to the alteration shop to be refitted.
I had to shop for new clothes - a challenge on a limited budget - but am making good choices and my faves are some cute skirts and a pair of jeans (size 8) from a style swap -$5 each. In shopping, I've discovered how sizing has changed. I have some old pieces that are 10s and 12s and they are tighter than the 8s I'm buying now. What's with that? Did we as consumers cause that with our relentless desire to be small?
In the meantime I will continue to enjoy reading your blogs and pages. Keep up the good work all. It is not easy but very life affirming.
Bless you all-
