GOYAAM Goals for December

Tuesday, November 30, 2010

I've recently turned into a challenge junkie. I figure if I have to say it loud and proud to all of you on Spark People, I have to make sure it's actually true. I just completed an accountability challenge for November, and it definitely kept me honest! I met my goal of losing 4 pounds in November. Part of the challenge was finding a delight in every day, and that definitely kept me out of the dark, gloomy basement in my brain on days when it was hard to believe in basic human decency.

Anywhatzit, on to my goals for December....

* 300 minutes of activity each week, 1000 for the month
*** Cardio at least 5 days a week
*** Strength training 2-3 days a week
*** Stretch after every workout. I bend like a boy, and that's not cool.
* 80+ ounces of water every day
* At least 4 freggies every day
* Calm the eff down!!! I stress too much, and usually not for very good reason. I'm a hard worker and a decent human being, so I need to stop worrying about it so friggin much.

And, Mama, I know you're going to read this. ...and probably leave some very mom-like comments. I'm just letting you know that you can do this, too. You WILL do this the last week of December, because I'm gonna be there to make you do it.

I think I've turned into a challenge junkie too! I'm so glad we did that accountability challenge in November... it really helped me too! I think December is going to be very tough, so I've signed up for the same thread again, plus the Biggest Loser challenge (which starts tomorrow!). Even though we are on different teams (I'm on pink), I'm glad we're both doing the challenge!

I've been on track for over 7 weeks now, and I totally attribute this success to my involvement in this community. emoticon

For December, my goals are to get 4 hours of activity in each week, track all my food in the nutrition tracker at least 6 days per week, and log in to SP at least once per day.
