Fit from Within - How I will Stay the Course during this Holiday Season

Several years ago I bought a soft cover book titled: "Fit from Within 101 Simple Secrets to Change Your Body and Your Life" written by Victoria Moran.

The cover said: "Fit from Within will provide you with everything you need to know to start living fully and stop dieting. What a relief."

I pulled the book out a couple of days ago wanting to page thru it again and pull out those little tid bits that could help me where I am right now.

The book has 101 chapters, if you will, each chapter introduces the reader to one of the 'simple secrets.' Each chapter is only two or three pages in length. A quick, easy read that packs alot of useful information in a small package.
The information is sane and practical.

Chapter One is: Accept Yourself Today. Good place to start. Today, right where I am, accepting myself as I am. The chapter starts with the author's note: "If you don't accept yourself, you won't live fully, and if you don't live fully, you'll need to get full some other way."

I have decided to read this book again now during the busy, heck holiday season to help me stay focused on what I originally set out to do: Change the way I had been over-eating and not moving - to now improve my health - one step at a time. This book is a good motivator for me!

    Maria-good for you to get extra encouragement from what sounds like a great book! I have several like that- I am going to dust them off! Most from diet guru's like Richard Simmoms, Bob Greene and even Dr. Phil! I just pulled out the book Tired of Being Tired, Overcoming Chronic Fatigue & Low energy - Micheal A. Schmidt. Covers everything on why, what and how to battle fatigue. It's amazing what can affect us like that! Thanks for sharing.

    I need the "get plenty of sleep" chapter. I went to bed early last night. I climbed into bed and read from a novel until I fell asleep. I did get up to take my vitamins and brush my teeth. I'm at a crossroads. I'm either going to develop another sinus infection or I will beat it. I'm hoping to beat it.

    I haven't exercised in 3 days. I'm trying to not over stress myself. I made it over 100 days on my last exercise streak. I figure once I feel better I'll start a new streak!

    It sounds like a great book Maria. I love the titles of the chapters. I think you have come up with a good way to stay focused during the holidays. You are always so inspirational!
