No plan is perfect, right? Here's how mine for today worked out.
I. Morning plan:
A. Run/walk - nope, weather was 10 and never got over 25 during the day, so I stayed inside. Didn't even put on a workout dvd since that was a little awkward while the family ate and relaxed.
B. Breakfast: Plan was to have oatmeal, but my husband made his "famous" eggs, potatoes, tortillas and cheese breakfast. I couldn't resist since we have so few breakfasts together these days. I did resist a whole plate of taters and I did turn down tortillas. Yet, I ate enough to rack up 450 calories.
II. Mid-day Plan:
A. Do not eat (steal bites) while cooking. TOTAL SUCCESS!
B. Cook all low-fat. Mostly successful, not not all.
III. Dinner Plan:
A. I won't bore you with the details, but basically I wanted to do little bits of everything (I didn't do as much as I would have, but not as little as I would have liked).
B. Pies - I didn't eat any crust :)
C. Bread - success, but this was easy since my husband likes brown/serve rolls which are easy to pass up.
IV. Grand total: Within calorie range (top end) to the best of my count. However, I'm pretty sure I'll go back for a little snacking later. But, I feel a little flexibility is okay for today. My plan for the week was to be at the lower end of my calories during the week so I could feel okay if I went a little nutty today. Tomorrow the gym is open and I will have no excuse.
