Time Consuming

Thursday, November 25, 2010

Yes, weight loss is time consuming. I guess that's the biggest excuse--and it's true.

Why don't we notice the time it takes to put the weight on? I suppose because it's easier to do something else simultaneously.

That's NOT fair. But whoever said life was fair? Your mama! When she insisted that we share and take turns, and BE FAIR.

Guilty! I taught my kids the same thing...and yet it doesn't make me feel better. Wah!

Actually I think weight is easier to put on because let's face it food is yummy! Did you ever see that documentary "Super-size me!" That poor guy ate nothing but McDonalds for 30 days. He gained 24 pounds in a month and it took him 14 months to lose it again!!
It's so much easier to put it on then take it off!

I like to remind my mom (also working on lifestyle changes) that the weight didn't happen overnight and it is not going to come off overnight. One meal that has bad choices will not make or break your long term is the multiple choices that we make that add (or subtract) to our plan. Hang in there and your patience and determination will shine! emoticon

Isn't it funny that we only complain about life not being fair is when we don't get what we want or think we deserve? We never complain about unfairness when we get something we didn't earn.
