I work for a grocery company. Thanksgiving is like hell week for us only it lasts three weeks and by then you are exhausted and trying to recover in time for Christmas hell week. Anyhooooo
I worked all day on Saturday (my 6th day to work last week). Was only supposed to be at work a half day and ended up working more than even a full day should have been. I did not make it to the gym before they closed. I was due a rest day since I had only taken Tues off earlier in the week and I had some pretty intense workouts all week long and was over my calorie burn.
Sunday my sister and her family were coming over to celebrate Thanksgiving. My work is 24/7 and I am having to work on Thanksgiving Day so we celebrated early. I got up and stuck the bird in the oven (prepped it all the night before) and headed off to the gym.
I was literally at the gym when they unlocked the door. I was the only psycho there for at least the first 15 min. Most people didn't start rolling in until I was leaving over an hour later. Had a great workout.
Best news yet... I lost 6.3 lbs last week! I know that I worked very hard and earned it. Although the weight always comes off faster when you first start out so I don't expect these results to keep happening. I know this from when I first first started a long time ago.
I am going to keep at it though and will be hitting the gym this evening.
Cuz the scale was not so kind to me this morning after my large meal yesterday.
Well- I will keep my chin up and move right along. I do not want to be this weight anymore so keep on moving I must!
So if you want to enjoy a big meal on Thanksgiving I say go for it and enjoy yourself. But get some exercise in that day and also the day after that and the day after that and the day after that............ you know the drill!
