SLOW DAY

Sunday, November 21, 2010

Well again we had a really slow day at the Market. There was a major home football game that started a 1:00 and that takes so many of our customers. The Market has come up with this bright Idea that we all need to be open every Friday until the first of the year. Well, most of the venders have full time jobs and are not able to be there on Fridays and who is going to come to the Market on Black Friday when they shop Walmart, Target, etc. Hubby and I go out of town for the Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas and New Years, so we will not make any of them. I put a big sign on my door when I left, Happy Thanksgiving will return on December 4th. This new management has not clue in the world about our customers and their patterns. I hope they do not do too much damage to our customer base before they become aware of our world. We have a number of customers that call me to mke sure that we have what they need, how much and if they pull up to our back door will we bring it out so they do not have to get out and walk around to get to us. Of course, we accommodate.

The opening on Black Friday was sprung n us last week and the other Saturdays were given to us today. They want to know why people are not planning to be there an be open. Well, we all have made our plans for weeks for the holidays and will not change to their specifications. They told one lady to bring in her partner that had a really bad wreck and has just come home from the hopsital and unable to walk. They suggested, they give her a wheelchair and let her deal with customers. I will not repeat what her daughter had to say to the person that made this suggestion.......She has been working for her Mother for 6 weeks now and she works full time during the week. She did this so her Mother would not have to close her business because she could not work it.

We all have just sat around and laughed at these new people. One day they will realize how far out in left field they are.
