I found a Vegetarian Thanksgiving Menu that sounded interesting.
The only thing missing, is the Turkey...
and for me, it isn't Thanksgiving without the big bird.
Robin’s 2009 Thanksgiving Menu:
Seitan en Croute
Madeira Sauce
Rum-Spiked Sweet Potatoes with Pomegranate Pecans
Triple Cranberry Relish
Roasted Asparagus
Garlic Smashers
Stuffed Winter Squash (optional main dish)
Ginger-Dusted Pumpkin Cheezecake

WISHING YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES
A HEALTHY AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING
we've got a combo thing going -- Tofurky and the bird breast. My daughter is vegetarian. I try to keep the soy on the down low as it has the potential to interfere with thyroid, My daughter eats dairy and egg, so we are good to go there. (I don't like sweet potatoes or squash either. So difficult!)
I agree with you re: the BIRD. One year, when I was a mere child, my Mom decided to have duck instead. It wasn't bad, but at the end of the meal, there was nothing left but the skeleton!!!!! I had never seen a grown man cry until I looked at my Dad and his visions of a turkey sandwich the next day were dashed!!! It was the last duck to ever grace our Thanksgiving table....... I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving too, my friend.....
