Well, hello there!

Been a while since I Blogged anything. Honestly, I've been meaning to but just haven't found the time!
Anyway, hubby is off playing poker, Amber has a friend over & I sit here with a box of tissues on one side, peppermint tea and cough drops on the other & Nico in my lap. I got it going on

!
Yes, I have a horrendous cold. I just feel like I've been kicked over & over again. At least I didn't have to work today.
Nico isn't doing well. This week has been a gradual downhill slide for him. I think I need to make 'THAT' decision soon

(Nico is my 18 yr old Himalayan kitty.) He can't hardly hear anymore, he's not seeing well AT ALL-walks into walls ALL the time-he sleeps A LOT, he doesn't eat much. I've been feeding him canned food-9 Lives Shredded Salmon, he always liked that. And every so often he just cries, loudly. I don't think he's in pain, confused maybe. If I go in to where he is and pet him he stops crying. The BIG problem, tho, is he's having WAY more seizures. At least 1 a day, sometimes more often. So I'm thinking some time after the holidays...
Yesterday we did the 5K Turkey Trot. 'We' being Glen, Amber & I. We walked it together. I just had this urge to run, tho. Hiowever, I did sign up for the 10K Run/Walk on Thanksgiving morning. Glen had no desire to do another one so I'll be able to run this one or, at least, some of it. It'll be my first 10K. I've done 3 5Ks and an 8K.
Glen is doing SO much better! He got 'scraped' again and had all his tests for the month. He doesn't look like an old man anymore. We've been taking Amber to the park after school and we walk it while she's playing. The park is 1.5 miles. We walk it twice & then I run it twice. He's still smoking, tho. A bad thing I know. But, like losing weight, it's something you have to WANT to do & be READY to do. I guess he's just not there yet. He stopped taking Chantix a while ago becuz it just made him too sick, even after cutting them in half. I think Chantix is some kind of 'aversion therapy'
My workouts are going well. I've made some changes. Most notably I've cut down on cardio a bit & upped my ST. I now do cardio 3 times a week and ST 4 times a week, doing upper & lower body on different days. I had gotten up to 134 a few weeks ago. I looked over my food tracker and there wasn't much difference. So I changed my fitness routine around and I'm now down to 131.2. But I'm not changing my tracker til I get to 129

! Plus the daily walks at the park have helped, too. And I'm not talking 'just going for a stroll' here-this is 'all out, step it out, give it all you got, BRING IT' walking. I don't count it in my cardio, tho, just as 'Step Tracking'.
Well, I guess that's it for now!
