Introducing Comet (a.k.a. Snow Crow) our cockatiel

Thursday, November 18, 2010

We bought him in May from a teenage girl that had him in a cage that was too big for him with one perch, a ladder and a cozy. His seed and water dishes were disgustingly filthy. He was very timid and shy when we bought him but now he can hold his own when Daffy wants to spar with him. :-)

On a side note: I hate my voice but it is what it is... Hope you enjoy!

He's so cute! Didn't see Daffy though. Your voice sounds like mine does when I talk to my kitties!

Pretty bird. I'm not much into birds but we always had some growing up. We had a blue parakeet named Aristotle who was so smart he flew away!!! Hope he found a good home because that's how we got him in the first place. LOL We had finches also. My mother's siamese cats were really interested in them but could never reach them. It was a very interesting household.

I also had a neighbor who had a mynah bird. He was really funny and could make a noise like the garbage disposal. Very confusing!!! Look at the memories that one bird brought up. Coool.

My grandmother used to keep a bird. She lived in rented apartments so it was a good choice for her. I have too many cats to feel good about getting a bird.

He's cute.

I agree about how weird it is hearing your own voice. But you sound fine!

He is darling! I love cockatiels and miss mine. I like to see him on his play gym....they really love them.

My voice sounds like that, too. Phone solicitors, before the days of caller ID, would ask if my mother was home. It is alarming to hear your own voice, but honestly, it is pleasant to listen to.

Thanks for sharing your video; very sweet!
