Water, water and more water.

Drink, drink, drink... pee, pee, pee...

Due to stress these past few weeks, I've found myself falling into my old binging habits. Nothing like it was in the past... but I can see how easily I could fall back into those old ways.

So to try to keep myself in check, I didn't buy anything that I could easily start binging on...

On Monday, without anything I really like/crave in the house, I tore through the cabinets and ate things that I didn't even like. NOT GOOD.

So, I'm going back to doing what I did to originally stop binging - DRINK WATER.

So, for the past 3 days I've eaten within my calorie range, only at scheduled meals (planned out in the morning so I know what and when my meals are) every 2.5 - 3 hours.

When I feel the urge to snack during the day, I down a couple gulps of water. Hoping to keep this up all through the holidays so that I can meet my goal of being in the "over weight" range on the BMI chart by New Years day.

Gotta go fill my water bottle... AGAIN! (and hit the bathroom while I'm up!)

This is fantastic. I just wish I would have read it earlier. It is a stressful week for me as well. Great job turning things around.

Good job on diverting the munching to drinking water. What if you also created another diversion for yourself...grab books for your college courses and start studying ahead, go to library, volunteer a bit...humane society, or some other group that could use you. It works for me to stay busy. If I am busy, my mind doesn't wander to food. Keep up the good work.

I understand the water drinking - pee cycle that all the water consumption seems to happen much more frequently in my life. Good luck to you!

Water is great - I like to put lemon or lime flavor in it -

Water is great, just make sure you don't over hydrate. I do drink a lot, but still found myself looking through the house for things to munch. My wife said I was grazing for food. I feel guilty as hell but I'm having a hard time stopping. I love food. If I have any free time, my mind starts thinking of the snacks.

I know the feeling. I can be like a bear in a garbage dump!. One thing that always helps me but it takes a little getting used to is Low Sodium V8. its about 30 cal per 8oz appx and it does fill a litte better than water.

PS you are doing awesome on your long runs (18 miles) you will beat me to the marathon distance. i am out of commission until I get these kinks worked out. emoticon

    but its fixable!

I love water! I hit a very nice streak awhile back, only to break it one day when I was sick. :( Since then I've stopped being so insistent to finish it everyday which is no good! I hope you create a massively long streak for yourself!
