Thank You SparkPeople

Wednesday, November 17, 2010

I have lost a total of 49 pounds since I started this journey over 2 years ago! What's even more amazing is that the last 20 pounds was with SparkPeople, I have only been sparking for about 6 months!

So while my loss has felt slow at times, it's actually been quite fast in comparison to what it was before I started sparking.

As a reminder as to how far I've come I changed my ticker to the beginning weight of where I was originally and gave myself a I Lost 20 Pounds With SP award.

I know that I shouldn't place too much of an emphasis on the numbers but I can't help but be excited, I weighed in today at 133, I haven't been in the 130's since the late 90's.

What's more is that I have never been an athlete, I was always the last to be picked to be on a team and here I am proving myself to be actually physically fit. I went from a lifetime of not wanting to do any physical exercise to craving it and looking at every household and outside chore as an opportunity to build more muscle and/or get more movement.

I think I'm going to buy a SP shirt today!

Thank you Julie for sparking Cookie who sparked me!!!

Thanks everyone! My goal is actually 125, my original goal was 130. Once I hit 125 I think my goal will no longer be number related but just related to toning up, if I go lower so be it.
Since I am not quite 5'1 125 is pretty much mid range for me and feels like it should be doable. Although, most of my adult life I haven't been below 130, so we'll see :)
