i LOVE this vlog. actually it's weird, sometimes i get anxious watching unscripted ANYTHING, but you have a really calming voice lol.

Anyways, about the makeup, I had a really hard time finding a foundation/powder combination that didn't make my skin orangey/pink. Finally I found Shu Uemura foundation, which I use paired with MAC studio fix powder. Together they control my oily skin, don't turn me orange, and make me feel good about my face.

Also, your red lip stick is awesome.

Good for you for not compromising your standards on men. Everyone deserves someone who makes them happy. And from your more recent blog, it looks like you found your Mr. Right, so congratulations! emoticon

I think every overweight woman in the world can relate to the fact that some--and I stress some, not all--men think you will be grateful that they want to be with you, even just for a quick roll in the hay. Unfortunately, this myth is encouraged by the hundreds of thousands of overweight women who allow their low self-esteem to effect their life choices. Who ever said you can't be a confident overweight person? Stick to your beliefs no matter your size! You are young and have plenty of time for that storybook romance--it is out there.

Even if you never lose one pound, do not settle! You will find that "perfect" man out there and he will love and adore you for who you are, just as you will him. Enjoy the ride, you only get to do it once.

hahah I loved this vlog! Took the words right out of my mouth with everything you talked about.

p.s. I'm also 19 and have never been in a relationship. I went on a date once in my life during my freshman year of highschool and then broke it off the day(as in hours after) he asked me out. bhahahahaha Anything i've ever done with a guy since has been inspired by "liquid courage" if you know what I mean (not too proud about that)

Loved the Vlog. I find it so inspiring that you can get on here and say all the things that I am going through and am too afraid to share. I'm 18, in college...and eternally single. The fish I do hook I have absolutely no interest in and the ones I like---not interested and it's not their fault.
Anyways, I hope you continue vlogging/blogging. You are amazing.

Love your vlog and your cute style.

1. Make-up is not necessarily fake beauty. Ironically, I hardly ever wear make-up, but when I DO, I feel pretty. So I consider it a confidence-booster, not false advertising. Unless I look like Tammy Faye.

2. True love. You are only 19 - it WILL come. But it most likely won't be perfect. Expecting perfection will set you up for disappointment, because whose version of perfect are you going for? And if you expect perfection and get a 98% match, do you throw it away? I agree not to settle, but be aware that sometimes those imperfections will be what makes your relationship real! You are so cute and smart and infectious (in a good way) that I KNOW your person will come.

When it comes to makeup, I say that investing in high quality products is worth it. I would be so mortified to walk out wearing cheap products that give out crappy results... I mean, it's something you wear on your FACE, it's one of the most important factors of a first impression, especially when you're a makeup artist.

You had me cracking up during this entire vlog.
I love your style, and your outlook on things.
Only - I do have a comment as to lowering your standards makes it seem as though you have to date a drug addict.

You can keep your mind open, and your options open.. Life can throw you surprising blessings!!!

I loved your sassy red lipstick... I do have a tip for you though.. your eyebrows would look super cute trimmed up a little, and with a slight arch.. have you ever plucked or waxed them? I don't buy really expensivve makeup.. I make do with covergirl LOL... :)

wonderful first vlog.

Amazing blog. The makeup - is kewl and perfect for the purpose. You are very young, but have an honest opinion of men, relationships, etc. Now - don't settle for a relationship that you will be unhappy in. Take your time, get it right. In the mean time you can work on a bit of exercise and healthy eating to keep up that creamy complexion and sharp mind. You will do just fine. Come back often and let us know how you are doing.

You are an exceptionaly smart woman. I listened to my family and lowered my standards...and that was the biggest mistake of my life. I finally got my head out of my arse and realized I can do better. Your almost 10 years younger then me and already figured that out!!!!

YOu are a beautiful woman, and your makeup looks great. I do believe that you should treat yourself and your body right and if using makeup or "fake" beauty helps you keep your head up and confront the world, then by all means do it.

    Don't settle !!!
Glad that you don't want just anyone. So many people settle, and spend a life time not truly happy.

You can lose the weight, just put the energy into it like you have for not giving into going with a less person than you deserve.

Remember one day at a time don't look to I have to lose 100 lbs. just look at 10 lbs at a time.

You can look on Spark and see that people have made it.. YOU CAN TO emoticon emoticon emoticon

You look great. I had so many different responces to your Vlog. Your so right to work for what you want in yourself and those you accept into your life - friends and possibly mores. I also found myself wanting to strangle you too. Yeah, I get a bit violent when I see people being mean and bitchy. And well you can be a bit mean to yourself. You wouln't treat your best friend that badly.
all the best
Jo
