Tuesday 11/16/10

Streets of Jersey CHILLY. Locked myself out of house where I staying, niece in NY for the day and hubby working, no phone #'s with me, in my housecoat and socks. Found the key outside but could not open screen door to get to door that was locked.. UGH... had to walk WAY around the house in stocking feet, cold cold cold and wet also, had rained and my feet were cold. Decided to break a window in the back door.. then there is glass all over the floor and outside, so bare feet, found the broom outside, swept the best I could to get in ,,,, go change socks and put shoes on..since I'm diabetic and don't need glass in myh feet....Ugh... then back to clean up mess .. yikes how am I gonna fix this before they get home. Hate to leave it for Barry to fix after working all day. Then a light bulb moment... my brothers.. one is working, at least I thought he was so called the other and he came over and we got a new glass and fixed it. Bought the glass and it was 2" too short. .fun.. back to the hardware for another piece. Found out my other brother's work cancelled .. so I did have help.Just had to pay for the window glass.. Spent about $10 .. PHEW!

Then my brother who fixed the window took me too lunch. That was nice a nice little diner in a small town. Very good food.

Earlier in the morning I took out a container from the closet, went to put it back, the spray pam fell over, put that upright put the can back, knocked over the tall tupperware salt shaker from the upper cabinet shelf and it fell and broke the Campbells glass spoon holder that was on the ceramic counter top. SO.. I know I should have gone back to bed ...lol

Had a great day,in spite of the setbacks and then to m y other brothes. He then took me to Correll outlet, Wal-mart and Same ... he needed to get a few things. ... Got lots of stuff.. he did not me. I didn't buy a thing... YEA!

Well, that's about it from tinsel town NJ

Hugz and warm wishes.

What a bad start to the day. I don't know how many times I have locked myself out and broke the door jam off the back door to get in. Didn't make DH too happy. Maybe breaking the glass would have been easier, lol.

I have locked myself out a few times and I hate it. Once I was in my pajamas and had to walk a half mile that way.

I love diners.

You certainly had a trying day. LOL.

What a heck of a day, yes sounds like a day to stay snuggled in bed. I am glad you were able to take care of it all. There are just days like that.

Sounds like it was definitely one of those days to say the heck with it and go back to bed. The good thing is that they don't happen often. -- Lou
