The BIG DAY is near

Monday, November 15, 2010

This is my temporary farewell to all my fellow sparkers. The day after tomorrow (Wed., Nov. 17, 2010) is my first total knee replacement surgery and the other knee will be done as soon as my blood count goes back to normal. Of course the surgeries will be followed by physical therapy 3 times a week for several months, so I will have little or no time for the computer.

This is not a true farewell, as I have every intention of coming back to SP as soon as I am able. This is really a "see you later". I am hoping the surgeries will finally enable me to walk with a degree of comfort that I have not had for a very long time. I am SO looking forward to being able to take a walk and the walking will hopefully enable me to get the last of the weight off. In fact, walking will be part of the physical therapy as soon as PT has determined I am ready for it. I anxiously await that day. So until we meet again................ emoticon

Wishing you well.... I need to have this done one of these days. Just had hip replacement a couple of months ago. I had what you call a "jiffy hip" and it has been amazing. I can walk and sleep again without pain.......

May you have a speedy recovery....... emoticon
