Need your help Sparkfriends I am way up there on the scale again and now I really have to do it. I've gained back all the weight I've lost plus 20 lbs to boot so when I got on the scale this morning I was very upset. So I am back now and I am going to do my best to drop the lbs.

  Hi Starr,

I am so glad that someone else is just "getting back" to doing the SPARK PROGRAM.I am in the same place with losing weight and would like to be your buddy to keep in contact with. Are you looking for a daily partner to check in with?

Sometimes our mind/attitude is right in the groove and tracking nutrition takes little effort. Other times it's a huge weight on us, pressure to do what we really want to do but aren't yet motivated to do. It's very strange. Right now I'm motivated on Spark People, but I'm not motivated to do my daily routine/activities so I'm sitting here Not doing them. hahaha Oh my goodness!
This is what I'm going to do to get my self going: I'm going to move toward the thing I need to do, do one little piece of it and see where that leads me. You might try that with your ideal routine and maybe it will ease you into being successful again on SP.
So I'll say goodbye and hope you have a great next five minutes, next half hour, next hour and so on. emoticon

A positive attitude is the key!! Is your glass half empty or half full? We are individuals that have an addiction. We are addicted to foods and like any addict, we will hit bottom before we accept that we need to change. Are you at the bottom? Use all the tools that are offered here including frequent posting and find a buddy either in your local area or on line that you can work with daily. Never give up. If you have a bad day, accept it and look at tommorow as your new day. Keep that day going and going. YOU CAN DO IT!!! I didn't think I could but I am and will continue to DO IT! Good luck and keep checking in with us.

The difference between try and triumph is the UMPH. Have a triumphant day!

The question is never "CAN" you do this, because you can. The question is, rather, "WILL" you do this? Only you can answer that. Define your goal specifically - what does it look like, feel like? See it specifically in your head. Write it down.

Write down the things keeping you from goals - words like "hopefully" and "I'll try" and "Maybe" - these are keeping you back from committing 100% to your goal. Accept the goal and commit. Root out every behavior (stress eating, emotional eating, negative attitude, negative self-talk, not getting up to go work out, keeping trigger foods in the house, hanging out with toxic people, etc) and get rid of it. Anything not helping you is hurting, so get rid of all of it.

There are no excuses. There are no "maybes" and "hopefullys". Like Yoda said in "Star Wars", "Do or do not. There is no try."
