Long time - no see!

Sunday, November 14, 2010

Hello Friends!
Well, its been a long time - no see! I went in to surgery on Nov 1st. When I got home that night I tried to log on and tell everyone I'd made it through, only to find that I had NO internet. How awful, to be stuck doing nothing, with no internet to entertain me. Whats the big idea??

Here I am, tomorrow will be exactly two weeks post surgery, and I'm doing okay. Every day gets a little better, and I am able to do more and more. I was incredibly sick from the anesthesia for a full week... and after surgery and a week of vomiting, I managed to GAIN six pounds. emoticon

I still don't have reliable internet, and I am experiencing Spark-withdrawal, big time! I am at the mercy of whatever free signals I can poach on. Tonight, I am crashing at my sister's house and babysitting her daughter. emoticon

I'm trying to catch up, but please don't be offended if I haven't answered your messages yet! Love to all my friends!

Take care of you! I'm sure those 6 pounds are likely swelling or fluids they gave you. I hope you're doing better now!

If they gave you a saline IV you can very easily gain temporary weight, plus I would imagine that any surgery is stressful on the body, and when stressed it wants to pack on weight!

The bigger concern now isn't your weight, it's just recovering. :)

emoticon for the anesthesia. I hate the stuff. I always wake up feeling incredibly nauseous and all around crappy.

I'm so thankful your recovery is well under way.
I know two people that have had their gallbladders removed, and while the recovery was relatively short, it was rough.
I'm glad the worst is over!
    Hope you get reconnected soon!

Glad to hear you're on the mend! No worries about answering, just take care of yourself and continue healing. Bummer about the Internet, too -- the withdrawal is totally understandable!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!! -

the gain you had is probably just your body trying to hold onto fluid while you're being sick.....

it will come off just as quickly!! all the best!!
