Lord this is such a struggle lately. I am not sure when my home internet will be connected but hopefully soon. I have talked to my ex and now I have to wait on his time schedule and all of you who have ex's out there know what that means! LOL!

My new place is so much nicer than the old one I was in. It has already turned into a blessing in disguise. It is going to be a little harder to do while I am unemployed but hopefully that won't last to long or I will get into school and that will help! Still having trouble not eating everything in site! Although I am actively trying to make better choices when I have to eat. Veggies instead of potato chips that kinda thing. I just can't control it sometimes. Stress is so not my friend!

    You haven't mentioned the bike since you moved. Do you still have a place to ride and are you still trying to ride? It would help with stress relief.

    Hi...hang in there...it always takes men along time to do things..but eventually they do!! Just check in when you can!! Try not to let the stress take over your life..take one day at a time and every healthy choice no matter how small or big makes a difference. Maybe buying low fat chips or some other healthy snacks for yourself might help. I know that we crave those sweet/salty things and soemtimes iwe have to eat it, but try controling your portions..easier said than done sometimes!! I dont keep any junk food in the house and if I want something really bad I have to run to the corner store to buy it. I know with kids it is harder cause they want the junk food!! I hope all works out for you with school!! Be patient. Kim

    I agree, stress is tough, I am a stress eater, I think alot of us on SP are. Glad you are making good choices with your food. I would say take it one day at a time, but often it's more one hour of a time if you are under a lot of stress. But you can do it. Be sure to keep your water intake up if you aren't. I find that if I take time to stop and enjoy a cup of hot tea, it often helps de-stress me.

    Stress can be the worst!
    Way to go on eating a carrot instead of a potato chip. Every little choice like that helps. You are staying connected and doing what you can even during this difficult time. I know you are going to meet your goals!!

    Stress just sucks!!! I know how you feel too because I have periods when I just can't stop eating sweets or salty food. I don't seem to recognize the pattern until it's too late. My job this winter is to find activities that I can do when I get stressed. I have meditation cd's, yoga, walk around the block, etc. Find what works for you and it will get better.

    Congratulations on your new place. Have you been out on your bike lately? Today I jsut couldn't stand it because it was sunny so got out for a short ride. Hope you keep at that biking:)

    Stress can be killer! Can you find ways to distract yourself when you are stressed that don't involve food? Have you asked yourself, "what do I really need right now?" Maybe your body will tell you it wants to take a walk or call a friend or have a hot bath instead of food. It sometimes works for me.
